Transporting, handling and storing sheets

Sheet length changes the vehicle, access and unloading plan. Coordinate the route, stopping place, receiving team and package protection before departure.

In detail

Transport is planned around the longest sheet, package dimensions, address and real site access. Cost, timing and conditions are confirmed in the quotation before departure.

Report a narrow street, overhead cables, low gates, tight turns or the lack of a safe stopping place in advance. Long sheets may need different coordination than short materials.

Decide who receives the goods and how unloading will happen before the vehicle leaves. The team must support sheets along their length and avoid bending, impacts or rubbing surfaces together.

On arrival, compare the packages and documents with the confirmed quotation. If you see a mismatch, impact or significant scratch, document it and contact the team before installation.

If material will not be used immediately, prepare a stable, clean and protected place. Exact storage conditions depend on packaging and material; follow the order instructions and do not let water remain trapped in the package.

Do not assume transport or unloading is included because sheets appear in the quotation. Check the route, time window, cost, unloading responsibility and contact person separately.

Confirm before ordering

The guide explains the decision. The confirmed quotation fixes the facts for your project.

  • A suitable vehicle for the longest sheet
  • Access and unloading responsibility
  • Storage conditions for the specific order
